Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Submission

All material should be submitted by registering on www.jmeds.eu and NOT by email.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions material conform to JMEDS’s formatting style: PDF format or WORD format.

  • PDF: For the format of the your Paper(s), please, download the file PDF format. In order to read this file, you must have the Acrobat Reader program.
  • MS WORD: If you are using for editing Microsoft Word or Open Office processors, please, download the doc file type for the WORD format of the your paper(s). The *.doc extension is for Microsoft Word Processor and *.odt and *oxt extention is for OpenOffice Word Processor.
  • Another WORD processors: If you are using for editing LaTEX or another word processors, please, download the file format specification in order to adjust your paper(s). Please print the PDF format and then make the necessary modifications in your text processor program in order to agree with this format. If you are a TeX or LaTeX user, please, don't send TeX or LaTeX files, but the PDF file (*.pdf).

Authors who publish with the Journal of Mobile, Embedded and Distributed Systems (JMEDS) agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant JMEDS the right of first publication.
  2. Published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work and its initial publication in JMEDS are properly cited.

  3. Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work (for example, posting it in an institutional repository or including it in a book), provided that the original publication in JMEDS is properly acknowledged.
  4. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (for example, in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and during the submission process, as this may facilitate scientific discussion and increase citations of the published work.
  5. Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference for consideration.
  6. Authors are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, originality, and legality of their manuscripts.
  7. Authors are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions for the use of copyrighted material, including figures, tables, images, datasets, or other third-party content included in the manuscript.
  8. The authors retain the right to reuse all or part of the published work in future works, including books, lectures, teaching materials, and presentations, provided that the original publication in JMEDS is properly cited.
  9. The views and opinions expressed in published articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of JMEDS, its editors, or its publisher.
